Assevero to provide Security Engineering Support to Quality Science International

Quality Science International has selected Assevero to perform security engineering services in support of a recently awarded contract with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Sichuan Health Information Center (Sichuan Province, Peoples Republic of China). Quality Science International will provide technical assistance for the Sichuan Regional Health Network Services Strategy. 

This contract is funded by a grant to the Sichuan Health Information Center from the USTDA. USTDA's grant program is designed to help countries establish a favorable trading environment and a modem infrastructure that promotes sustainable economic development. To this end, USTDA funds overseas projects that sponsor access to U.S. private sector expertise in the areas of trade capacity building and sector development and project definition and investment analysis. USTDA signed a Grant Agreement with the Sichuan Health Information Center (SHIC) in August 2009. In May 2010 SHIC selected the team of QSI and the IBM-China Research Lab to provide the technical assistance for the RHIN planning. QSI selected Assevero in June 2010 to provide security engineering support to the project.

The project will provide strategic and technical services that will enable the development of a healthcare system across the province of Sichuan based on e-healthcare technology. It is expected that once implemented, the resulting Regional Health Information Network will vastly improve healthcare in the province.

Assevero has an immediate requirement for an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support a client at Fort Meade.

The successful candidate will provide implementation and management of IT security related projects. The successful candidate will perform the duties of an ISSM such as reviewing and advising management about proposed Information Systems Security (ISS) plans and policies; promoting and enforcing information systems security policies within their assigned area of responsibility; overseeing all Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) under their purview to ensure they are following established information security policies and procedures and ensuring that they receive the necessary technical and security training to carry out their duties; proactively maintaining communications with DAOs regarding changes to the IS that could impact the IS certification and accreditation; reporting computer incidents in accordance with customer policy and procedures for handling computer security incidents.

The successful candidate will also support investigative agents in the investigations of information security incidents reported on ISs under their purview; provide analysis of current business processes and help to formulate continuous improvement initiatives for the C&A and Continuous Monitoring processes; devise metrics for collecting data to evaluate the performance of ISS processes.

This is a full-time position of indefinate duration. Assevero Accepted Into NSA PISA Program

We are very pleased to announce that Assevero has been accepted into the National Security Agency (NSA) Provisional Industrial Security Approval (PISA) Program. For participating companies, NSA sponsors NSA security clearances for a limited number of company employees and key management personnel. This allows Assevero to engage in classified discussions with NSA personnel, and to participate in NSA procurements.
